"Works on Maps" is a unique, limited collection of artworks created specifically for the opening of the Maritime Science Center in Szczecin. It is a thematic collection dominated by a maritime and aquatic motif, inextricably linked to Szczecin and the Maritime Science Center.

"Works on Maps" also represent an artist's experiment with form and color. Maciej Woltman combines various painting media on the canvas, such as paint with paper navigation maps, which serve as the background, base, or final shape. Paint and maps interpenetrate and complement each other, collectively constructing the content and imparting a deliberately more or less hidden context to the artwork.
